Sea Spirals grew from an invitation to apply for the Hatfield Artist Residency, which led me to explore my fascination with movement, bioluminescence, and the repeating patterns found throughout the natural world.

The series looks at marine forms as living systems—spirals, currents, shells, and organisms shaped by rhythm, growth, and adaptation. I’m especially interested in the way these forms seem both delicate and highly organized, and how patterns that appear in the ocean echo structures found elsewhere in nature.

This body of work became another way for me to explore the connections between science, pattern, and visual communication, while allowing the ocean itself to become part of that language.
