Thanks for visiting! I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and my work. In my studies at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I specialized in scientific and natural history Illustration, and I also work in mixed media and glass. Although I deal with other issues in my work, I am mostly interested in recurring themes in nature and the way we are all connected through these patterns (even though it is something we rarely think of in our day-to-day lives). Like other curious souls, I find that there is a strange elegance to the way things work in nature, and I am fascinated by fractal structures which can be seen on every imaginable scale, from the simplest plant life to human anatomy to the shape of galaxies in our universe. It is this interconnectedness between the micro- and the macro- that has inspired the work which you see here.
